Energy Business Centre is a plan in which Strandgatakvartalet is presented as a new and exciting commerce and shopping destination. At street level existing businesses have the opportunity to expand into new premises, while the upper floors consist of appealing and modern offices. Rooftop areas are utilised as a roof park to accommodate restaurants and bars, and can be used as a venue for concerts, art exhibitions and various other cultural events. The entire city block and in particular the currently run-down back alleys and yards will be upgraded. The plan has been thoroughly discussed and documented in a series of dialogues with Tromsų City Council, Troms Communal Council, and the general population.
